ANNUAL WORLD SNOW DAY CELEBRATIONS
YELLOWKNIFE, NORTHWEST TERRITORIES | OCTOBER 9, 2013
In collaboration with local organizations,
the City of Yellowknife will be celebrating World Snow Day on Sunday, January 19, 2014.
World
Snow Day is an event promoted by the
International Ski Federation which encourages residents to celebrate all
things snow. This past year, over 430,000 participants enjoyed,
explored and experienced snow at 435 events held in 39 countries around
the world. In Yellowknife, a wide range of free
outdoor activities, such as skiing, snowboarding and skating, are being
planned for January 19. The activities will be free or offered at a minimal cost and open
to participants of all ages.
